I’ll be straight with you, I’m no medical expert or professional; I am just a fellow snorer like yourself who has finally been able to find relief from snoring after years of trials and devastating failures. My life was practically falling apart in front of my own eyes, and it seemed as though I could do nothing about it; I suppose I may even have heard that snoring could do that to you, but I never really took it serious until I did it to myself. But finally I did learn, and finally I did cure snoring with ease that I never thought possible; and it was because I finally calmed down enough to read the writings on the wall – the writings which I am now writing back to you. Hope you learn from them too.
I found in my own experience that everybody snores for some reason or the other at some point in their lives. Being the only snorer in my home when I was growing up, I didn’t think that could be true because nobody else seemed ever to snore. Finally, I realized that the reason why I never heard anybody snore in their sleep was because I was sleeping too deeply. I was always on the heavy side – I guess I must have inherited it from my mother’s side of the family – and getting around during daytime was always a lot of trouble. So, by the time I got to bed at night, I was always so exhausted that I was actually asleep before my head hit the pillow; and I would remain that way till someone pounded me awake in the morning.
No wonder I was snoring! Always too tired; always too relaxed; always sleeping too deeply. I did not even know that my throat muscles relaxed along with the rest of my body and my air couldn’t get through so well. The best way to cure snoring of this sort is to see to it that you don’t sleep like that anymore. Try not to engage in too much exercise so that you don’t sleep too deeply at night. Then your muscles would not be so relaxed, and then they wouldn’t get in the way of your air.
Of course, being overweight and out of shape also contributed to my snoring because of the fatty tissue that built up in my breathing airways, and the poor muscle tone all over my body. The only reliable snoring remedy for this is was to lose the excess weight. Now I have got to tell you that it was not an easy thing for me to do, considering that I had been overweight for my entire life. Besides, it wasn’t too long ago that I realized that I was not supposed to be getting too tired before going to bed at night, so I had to do some thinking.
But you know how they say the only way up is down. Well, I still had to pick up the workouts so that I could lose the extra pounds and tighten my muscles all over, especially those in my throat. And the fat had to go too, which meant harder work. I was exhausted every night for a month, and the snoring got worse. Until suddenly one night, my boyfriend dozed, spent the night, and did not complain the next morning!
I’m still about a hundred and ninety pounds – heavy for a woman – but I used to be three hundred pounds light; and I don’t snore anymore. A lot of other things could contribute to snoring, but for me, it was the exhaustion and the weight. You don’t have to have my same poison; and since you don’t want to get treated for the wrong kind of snoring, get tested and diagnosed first. Then you can find your best snoring cure.
